University of Dhaka Invites Applications for Master of Professional Marketing (MPM) Program 2025–2026

The Department of Marketing, Faculty of Business Studies (FBS), University of Dhaka, has officially announced the opening of admissions for the Master of Professional Marketing (MPM) program for the academic session 2025–2026.
The application period will run from 1 November 2025 to 10 December 2025, and the admission test will be held on 12 December 2025 (Friday) at 10:00 AM, at the Faculty of Business Studies (FBS), University of Dhaka.
About the Program
The Master of Professional Marketing (MPM) is a prestigious two-year postgraduate program designed to prepare the next generation of marketing strategists, business leaders, and analytical decision-makers. The program carries 51 credit hours, comprising 16 courses and a final project/dissertation.
Since its inception in 1974, the Department of Marketing has been recognized as a pioneer in business education in Bangladesh. The MPM program continues this legacy, combining academic excellence with real-world business application to produce marketing professionals capable of thriving in national and international markets.
Classes are conducted by highly qualified faculty members and industry professionals, ensuring students gain both theoretical depth and practical exposure. Classes are scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays, making the program ideal for working executives and entrepreneurs.
Program Objectives
The primary goal of the MPM program is to develop professionals who can confidently lead marketing functions in a rapidly changing business environment. It aims to:

Admission Requirements
Applicants must have:

A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4.0 or 2nd Class/Division in all examinations.

A minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of 5.0 in both SSC and HSC levels.

Work experience is preferred but not mandatory; experienced candidates will receive additional evaluation points.
Program Structure
The MPM program consists of:

Prerequisite Courses (4): Marketing Principles, Accounting and Finance, Business Mathematics, and Management Fundamentals

Core Courses (8): Strategic Marketing, Marketing Management, Neuromarketing, Marketing Analytics, etc.

Elective Courses (4): Digital Marketing, Brand Management, Supply Chain, Entrepreneurship, and more

Final Dissertation (3 credits)
This structure ensures that graduates are prepared for both strategic marketing leadership and data-driven decision-making roles in today’s competitive landscape.
Grading and Evaluation
The evaluation system includes class participation, quizzes, term papers, presentations, in-course exams, and a semester final, maintaining a rigorous academic standard. A CGPA of 2.50 is required to qualify for the degree.
